Remedial Massage
Remedial massage endeavours to correct any specific soft tissue injury or aberration. It is a treatment that helps the body to normal pain free function through various techniques which are relevant to the type of injury or muscular-skeletal disorder that may be presented. While remedial massage can relieve pain, treat muscle soreness, increase range of motion & provide soft tissue release the treatment is not a relaxation treatment or a luxury spa treatment,It is however a therapeutic clinical treatment designed to get individual case specific results. At Massage By Max we understand every client is unique which is why with every new client an extensive individual clinical assessment is discussed & made to fully establish and tailor a treatment that will suite the individual clients needs, optimise benefits and make the experience as relaxed as possible in order to gain optimum, long-term effective results. |
Dry Needling
Involves the use of a single filament needle inserted into the
muscle directly at the myofascial trigger point. This is done to elicit a twitch response which will deactivate the trigger point.
If you are suffering from a niggle or some pain in one or more muscles of your body there's a good chance there is some trigger point involvement. “Knots” which they are commonly known as, are not really knots at all, but rather small isolated areas of muscle contracture that starve themselves of their own blood supply and in turn hold waste and present problems often far from where they actually present themselves. (Referred pain). |
